Air Freight
Air Freight From China to Egypt
Air freight is the movement of commercial cargo on passenger or cargo aircraft, and it is the fastest way to move goods from China to Egypt. X Global Trade books standard and express air freight from Guangzhou and other Chinese cities to Cairo, manages the air waybill and customs paperwork, and clears cargo at Cairo International Airport.
Air freight is chosen when speed matters more than cost per kilogram: urgent restocks, production-line spare parts, high-value electronics, samples, and seasonal goods that must not miss their window. XGT has moved time-critical cargo up to and including oversized drilling equipment by air when a client faced production downtime, a project documented in our case studies.
Air freight is charged on chargeable weight, which is the greater of the actual weight and the volumetric weight. Volumetric weight in kilograms equals length times width times height in centimeters divided by 6000 for standard air freight, or divided by 5000 for express courier services. The free weight calculator in the XGT Client Hub applies these formulas instantly.
Primary lane: Guangzhou to Cairo. Air freight is also arranged from other Chinese cities and on the Gulf and MENA corridors when timelines demand it.

FAQ
Common questions
Air freight is charged on chargeable weight, which is the greater of the actual weight and the volumetric weight of the shipment. Volumetric weight in kilograms is calculated as length times width times height in centimeters divided by 6000 for standard air freight, or divided by 5000 for express courier services. Light but bulky cargo therefore costs more than its scale weight suggests, and dense cargo is charged on actual weight.
Air cargo to Egypt travels under an air waybill (AWB) instead of a bill of lading, together with the commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin. Unlike an original bill of lading, an air waybill is not a title document, so cargo is released to the named consignee on identification. Regulated products still require GOEIC conformity documentation. XGT prepares the full document set with every booking.
Yes, within aircraft limits, and XGT has done it. When an Egyptian drilling contractor faced production downtime, XGT moved oversized drilling equipment from China by air, coordinating packing, aircraft selection, and clearance so the equipment arrived with zero downtime for the client. The full project is documented in the XGT case studies.
